SBF Global Sourcing Hub
Launched on 13 Jan 2006, SBF Global Sourcing Hub is a national initiative supported by Standards, Productivity and Innovation Board (SPRING) Singapore and jointly developed by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and Abecha Pte Ltd (Abecha).
The hub is an online B2B business portal aimed to streamline and automate sourcing processes to achieve better process efficiencies, access to wider supplier and buyer communities, has complete visibility and control on the entire sourcing process.
The portal incorporates the use of the Internet technology and industry best practices to allow business community to transact in a trusted and efficient environment. Other partners that help us to achieve this level of professionalism include Intraco Limited, D&B Singapore and DP Informaiton.
The Sourcing Hub provides an integrated sourcing system consisting of key sourcing tools i.e. RFQ, Quotation, Tender, Business@lerts and a comprehensive Directory that gives buyer access to a Directory of over 100,000 categorized suppliers.
The Directory also provided value added Supplier information such TrustM@rk profile, credit rating and business-risk related reports etc.

Business@lert
As part of the Sourcing Hub offering, Business@lert application has been incorporated into the portal to make the service more complete. Business@lert was inaugurated on 28 November 2003 by the then Minister of State, Foreign Affairs and Trade & Industry, Mr Raymond Lim.
The portal is powered by Abecha Pte Ltd and supported by SPRING Singapore. It is the first Singapore industry-wide collaboration to provide notification of business opportunities for Singapore's enterprises.
The system proactively collects and process procurement business opportunities (Tenders, RFQs & Trade Leads) from Singapore Government, Singapore's FTA partners (e.g. USA, New Zealand, Australia, etc ), Government Linked Companies as well as private companies from the region and disseminates the information to corporate members via the internet, SMS, email and fax, in accordance to business profiles.
Suppliers’ directory
This directory gives Suppliers an avenue to publish their company and product information online for interested buyers to view. Buying organizations will have access to genuine, credible and up-to-date information including the Trustmark profiles of Suppliers listed in the directory.
Credit rating and business-risk related reports of Suppliers can be obtained through a tie-up with a reputable credit rating agency. Interested buying organizations can encourage their suppliers to participate in the SBF Global Sourcing Hub.
This will allow buying organization to send their tenders, auction notices and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) from a single sourcing point for ease of sourcing management.
e-Auction
e-Auction is an additional sourcing service which will enable businesses to conduct efficient and effective dynamic negotiation online. It is built on the best technology platform, complete with efficient security and business rules.
It allows the entire bidding process to be transparent, and creates a fair and level playing for bidding to be conducted.
